FINANCIAL ANALYST
The Financial Analyst supports the Confidential Client's Finance and Accounting functions by preparing financial reports, conducting data analysis, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and asset/liability management. This developmental role works closely with the Financial Controller to build expertise in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational finance activities, contributing to strategic financial management and organizational initiatives.

What You’ll Do
This is a developmental Financial Analyst role supporting the Finance & Accounting functions for a Confidential Client (a credit-union-focused financial services organization). You will work closely with the AVP Financial Controller to deliver reliable reporting, data preparation, and analytical support while building broad experience in financial management.
- Prepare recurring financial reports, schedules, and documentation for management and Board reporting.
- Compile, validate, and analyze financial data; identify trends and variances for Controller review.
- Assist with financial modeling, profitability and ROI analysis, forecasts, and ad hoc studies.
- Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting; maintain model inputs, assumptions, and schedules.
- Maintain and validate data used for asset/liability management (ALM) and liquidity monitoring.
- Assist with rate shock, sensitivity, pricing, and scenario analysis reporting.
- Support investment portfolio reporting and coordination with external brokers, advisors, and vendors.
- Assist with CECL reserve analysis, data validation, and supporting schedules.
- Perform recurring operational finance tasks including reconciliations, report maintenance, documentation, and data management.
- Help prepare schedules and documentation for audits, regulatory exams, Supervisory Committee, and Board requests.
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, internal controls, and documentation.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 0–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, banking, credit unions, public accounting, or an analytical role; entry-level candidates with strong internships or demonstrable analytical skills are encouraged.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to organize data, perform calculations, and prepare clear reports.
- Familiarity or interest in financial institution reporting, budgeting/forecasting, financial modeling, ALM, CECL, and liquidity management.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving skills, and effective written/verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain organized documentation.

Compensation & Location

- Estimated compensation: $82,262 per year (estimated). Actual pay may vary based on experience and qualifications and will be provided in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.
