Role Summary
This is an on-site, full-time Financial Analyst role supporting Navy weapons engineering and program acquisition support work for a confidential client. You must be eligible for a DOD SECRET clearance. The position is located in Arlington, TX and requires 100% on-site attendance.
What You’ll Do
The Financial Analyst will support program and acquisition financial management for a Navy-focused contract. Typical responsibilities include:
- Providing advice and technical assistance in preparation of annual budgets
- Measuring organizational performance and assessing program budget impacts
- Reviewing budget estimates and proposals for completeness and compliance
- Analyzing past and current budgets and researching economic/financial trends
- Coordinating financial activities across stakeholders and subcontractors
- Managing finances across multiple funding types and tracking costs, budgets, and variances
- Producing executive summaries and customer-facing presentations
- Conducting financial reporting and analysis to address customer requirements
- Interpreting and applying financial management principles, policies and regulations
Required Qualifications
Candidates should meet the requirements for one of the following levels:
- Entry-Level: Some education toward a business or finance degree; demonstrable interest in budgeting/financial analysis
- Junior-Level: 1–3 years’ experience as a financial analyst
- Mid-Level: 4–10 years’ experience as a contracts or program analyst supporting a government program office
You must be eligible for a DOD SECRET clearance to be considered.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline (preferred)
- Direct experience supporting NAVSEA or PEO IWS program offices (preferred)
- Active SECRET clearance is a plus
- Familiarity with Navy financial systems (ERP, MSIL, NEPS) preferred
- Experience with financial actions and task tracking for ACAT-1/2/3 acquisition programs
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
- Ability to develop and deliver clear, concise customer presentations
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical, acquisition and administrative teams
Travel
- Limited travel (<10%)
Compensation
- Salary range: $60,000 – $110,000 per year (visible range provided by the confidential client)
- Final compensation will be based on location, experience, skills and contract-specific factors.
