Role overview

This is a contract Financial Analyst 1 role (onsite) in Plano, TX. The Confidential Client is hiring a Korean‑English bilingual analyst to support month‑end close, forecasting, P&L consolidation, and operational reporting for a division-level finance team. This is a 12‑month contract with possible extension.


What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and perform month‑end and period close activities, including journal entries and G/L allocations.
  • Produce monthly Profit & Loss data for the CE division and consolidate SEA P&L data for leadership review.
  • Build, maintain, and present variance analysis comparing actuals to forecast and budget at month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end.
  • Prepare recurring operational and financial reports (expense summaries, headcount reports, KPI trackers, social meal tracker, SCR reports, etc.) and coordinate corrections with requestors.
  • Track division KPIs and produce executive‑level reports to support decision‑making.
  • Allocate expenses across business areas (e.g., by sales call volume) and reclassify GL accounts for budget control.
  • Process budget allocations to cost centers and post approved adjustments.
  • Support asset modification workflows (inventory scrap, refurbishment, FOC orders).
  • Respond to finance inquiries and help establish guidelines for budget, expense, and travel controls.
  • Produce ad‑hoc reports and analyses as requested by supervisors and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Fluent/native in both English and Korean (verbal and written).
  • 0–2 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or finance; entry‑level candidates and recent graduates are welcome.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas). Heavy Excel use is expected.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong data‑mining and analysis skills with the ability to produce ad‑hoc reports.

Nice to Have

  • More advanced Excel/data skills (Power Query, VBA, or similar).
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming for data tasks (Python, SQL) — a plus but not required.
  • Prior experience in division P&L consolidation or telecom/contact‑center expense allocation.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Employment type: Contract (Full‑time).
  • Duration: 12 months, possible extension.
  • Work location: Onsite in Plano, TX.
  • Good‑faith hourly rate estimate: $30 to $32 per hour.
