What You’ll Do
This entry-level Financial Aid Advisor role supports student access to federal and institutional aid by managing documents, counseling students and families, and processing awards in compliance with Title IV regulations.
- Scan and upload financial aid documents into student record systems (e.g., CVUE/CampusVue).
- Confirm and manage financial aid appointments and communications.
- Pre-qualify prospective students with Admissions; review NSLDS records and determine Title IV eligibility and dependency status.
- Assist students and families with FAFSA completion and determine eligibility for federal aid programs.
- Input and package financial aid awards in CampusVue (or equivalent student management systems) and monitor disbursement schedules.
- Identify and escalate award-delivery issues; coordinate resolution with appropriate departments.
- Support financial aid workshops, outreach events, orientations, and classroom communications.
- Conduct exit interviews and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a dependable, detail-oriented candidate who is passionate about student success and comfortable working with technology and federal financial aid rules.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 0–3 years of industry-related experience; minimum 2 years administrative experience preferred.
- Experience in a professional outbound call center is a plus.
- Familiarity with FAFSA, NSLDS, Title IV processes, and student information systems (CampusVue/CVUE preferred).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and general computer/technology use.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information in orientations and workshops.
- Good organizational, time-management, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and Saturdays.
