What You’ll Do
This entry-level Finance Operations Analyst (Trade Support) role supports derivatives clearing and daily trade flow for futures and options. You will work in a hybrid model based in Baltimore, MD, helping resolve trade breaks, manage allocations, and improve operational controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily trade support for futures and options across North American (and some European) markets
- Resolve client, exchange, and risk trade breaks promptly
- Manage trade allocations for institutional and wealth-management clients
- Investigate and clear daily clearing exceptions
- Facilitate exchange trade entry and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to trade-flow automation and operational process improvements
- Conduct root-cause analysis for client issues and recommend risk-mitigation steps
- Help refine controls to reduce operational risk and increase efficiency
- Participate in team meetings, share ideas, and support colleagues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent finance experience
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective team player with the ability to build cross-functional relationships
- Good problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Desire to learn and adapt in a rapidly changing operations environment
Skills & Tools
- Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and Word
- Basic familiarity with derivatives or trade lifecycle concepts preferred
- Interest in process improvement / automation initiatives
Compensation & Location
- Pay: $20–$22 / hour
- Employment type: Full-time
- Work model: Hybrid — primarily Baltimore, MD area (Washington DC–Baltimore market)
