Role Overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring a Finance Associate to join a 2-year Leadership Development Program in Avon Lake, OH. This rotational program gives early-career finance professionals hands-on experience across core finance functions (rotations typically include FP&A, cost accounting, internal audit, tax/treasury, and financial reporting). Successful participants are placed into a full-time finance role at the end of the program that aligns with business needs and personal career goals.

What You’ll Do

Confidential Client hires through Careertakes and values developing early talent. As a Finance Associate in the Leadership Development Program you will:

• Rotate through 3–4 finance teams over the two-year program.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and close activities.
• Assist with financial planning & analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Work on cost accounting, variance analysis, and operational finance projects.
• Participate in internal audit, tax, treasury, and M&A support as assigned.
• Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and receive ongoing feedback from program leadership.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related business field.
• 1+ years of relevant experience (internships count).
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with effective communication skills.

Preferred (nice-to-have)

• Coursework or experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or audit.
• Familiarity with Excel modeling and basic financial systems.
• Interest in a rotational leadership program and exposure to corporate finance functions.
