This hybrid role requires strong analytical and organizational skills to manage government contract opportunities, support proposal development, conduct financial and market analyses, and assist with recruiting and HR administration. What You’ll Do
This is a full-time, hybrid Finance and Business Operations Analyst role based in Arlington, VA. You will work as a cross‑functional resource supporting finance, accounting, human resources, recruiting, proposal development, business development, government liaison, and contract analysis. The role is split between Special Projects (opportunity identification, proposal support, market research) and Support Team functions (day‑to‑day finance, HR, recruiting, and operations support). Expect a fast‑paced environment with exposure to government contracting and executive stakeholders.
Special Projects Team
- Monitor government contract vehicles (IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, OTAs) and agency procurement portals to surface task order opportunities aligned with company capabilities.
- Perform initial opportunity assessments: review solicitations, analyze scope/requirements, and recommend opportunities for leadership review.
- Maintain opportunity tracking tools; monitor amendments and deadlines and relay critical updates to internal stakeholders.
- Support proposal development: solicitation review, compliance checks, document prep, proposal coordination, pricing support, quality reviews, and final submission.
- Conduct market research, labor market and compensation benchmarking, competitive intelligence, and other business analyses to inform strategy.
- Assist with contract startup planning, operational readiness, and discrete strategic initiatives as needed.
Support Team Functions
- Support daily finance and accounting operations: journal entries, bank reconciliations, payroll support, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable.
- Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, labor reporting, and indirect cost tracking; prepare leadership reports.
- Manage full‑cycle recruiting support: job postings, sourcing, resume screening, ATS updates, interview coordination, and offer administration.
- Support HR administration: employee records, training coordination, policy implementation, and compliance tasks.
- Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence, and other documentation for leadership.
- Identify process improvements to increase operational efficiency and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide ad hoc operational, administrative, and analytical support to executives and teams.
Qualifications
Required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; employment contingent on successful completion of all security requirements (fingerprinting and clearance processing).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, Project Management, Human Resources, or related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience in finance, business operations, project coordination, government contracting, or related experience; internships/equivalent experience considered.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills; ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive business and employee information.
- Experience using AI tools/solutions with controlled or sensitive information (with appropriate governance).
Preferred
- Experience supporting federal government contracting, professional services, or consulting organizations.
- Familiarity with proposal development, contract vehicles, and federal procurement concepts.
- Experience with accounting systems, payroll, HRIS, or ATS platforms.
- Experience building reports, dashboards, or executive presentations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $65,000 – $90,000 per year
