What You Will Do

Confidential Client seeks an entry-level Finance Analyst I to join a growing program finance team supporting significant program expansion. This onsite role in Tucson, AZ is focused on program cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting for defense programs. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Provide financial support across the program lifecycle — from proposal and startup through execution, baselining, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain program financial data for monthly close using business planning and reporting tools.
  • Support Earned Value Management System (EVMS) activities, Estimate at Completion (EAC) processes, and billing projections.
  • Use business systems (e.g., SAP/APEX, Business Warehouse, forProject, Rplan) and Excel to analyze bookings, sales, earnings outlook, and funding profiles.
  • Produce clear financial briefs, summaries, and variance explanations for internal stakeholders.
  • Complete ad-hoc financial and analytic requests in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Less than 2 years of relevant finance experience (entry-level / P1).
  • Understanding of basic financial principles such as forecasting and budgeting.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance is required. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for this clearance; U.S. citizenship is therefore required for this role.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Get & Transform / Power Query).
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
  • Exposure to EVMS, EAC, SAP, Business Warehouse, Rplan, or similar enterprise finance systems.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare and present concise financial summaries.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively on cross-functional teams.

Additional Details

  • Location: Tucson, AZ — this position is designated as onsite.
  • Employment type: Full time.
  • Security clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance required after day one; Top Secret may be required for certain assignments.
  • Salary range: $57,200 - $108,800 USD (good-faith estimate covering all experience levels; final offer depends on role, experience, skills and location).
  • This role is U.S.-based. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain/maintain necessary government clearance.
