What You’ll Do

This entry-level Finance Analyst role supports project-level accounting and financial operations for construction projects. You will help manage cost control, billing, payroll, and month-end reporting for projects ranging in size, working closely with project operations teams.

  • Support cost control and project accounting activities across project lifecycles
  • Reconcile costs, review quantity claiming and budget structure, and correct exceptions
  • Assist with payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows
  • Prepare and help package month-end project financial reports for project management
  • Participate in forecasting, review and update budgets and cost forecasts
  • Support intercompany and client billing processes and ensure accurate, timely documentation
  • Provide high-quality customer service to project teams and internal stakeholders
  • Follow corporate compliance, EEO and labor law requirements at the project level

Responsibilities

  • Recognize and adapt to project needs; support other areas as required
  • Build strong working relationships with Operations and project teams
  • Master payroll/HR systems for hiring, transfers, terminations and pay processes
  • Maintain purchasing workflow controls; verify invoice processing and vendor issue resolution
  • Review cost adjustments and ensure accounting rules are followed
  • Identify forecast/budget issues and communicate recommended corrections
  • Maintain organized records and manage time effectively
  • Work safely on construction sites in varied climates and conditions

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of finance or data analysis experience (entry-level)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management or equivalent
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs) and Outlook/Word
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, organization and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relocate and travel frequently (up to ~50%) as project needs require
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship, now and in the future
  • Valid driver’s license required; previous internship experience preferred

Location & Mobility

This role is tied to project locations. Our client moves teams to where the work is; candidates must be willing and able to relocate and travel as business needs dictate. Ability to access all parts of construction sites is required.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base compensation: $72,000 – $84,000 per year (range provided by the employer; actual pay may vary by experience, location, and other factors)
