Overview

This is an entry-level Finance Analyst role supporting project accounting and operational finance functions for a confidential client operating in the Accounting & Finance industry. You will support project teams on cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, human capital management, compliance, and month-end close activities. Projects are located across the United States; flexibility to travel and relocate based on project needs is required.


What You’ll Do

  • Support project accounting and financial reporting for assigned projects, including month-end close activities and preparation of management reporting packages.
  • Process and review payroll, hiring, transfers, terminations, and timekeeping records; learn and follow related HR/payroll systems and workflows.
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, vendor queries, and invoice/payment troubleshooting.
  • Help maintain purchasing workflow controls and review procurement documentation for accuracy.
  • Review costs, budget structures, exception reports, and quantity claiming; identify and correct discrepancies to ensure accurate cost recognition.
  • Assist in forecasting and budget reviews; adjust cost reports to confirm proper recognition of cost and revenue.
  • Collaborate with operations teams on-site and remotely; build relationships that improve information flow and reporting accuracy.
  • Maintain organized records, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with project teams and leadership.
  • Follow the corporate compliance program and support implementation of EEO and labor laws at the project level.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of financial or data analysis experience (entry-level).
  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • Ability to relocate and travel frequently as business needs require.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and other Excel functions is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies.
  • Effective oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to safely access all areas of a construction site in varied climates and conditions (field roles may apply).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Previous internship experience or work in construction/engineering finance is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base compensation: $78,000/yr – $81,000/yr (actual pay may vary based on experience, education, skillset, and location).

Location & Travel

  • Authoritative location: Edgewood, FL (work assignment may begin in the regional area and relocate based on project needs).
  • Projects may be regionally based or located across the eastern U.S.; flexibility to travel and relocate is required.
  • Field assignments may require work in varied outdoor and construction site conditions.
