What You’ll Do

This entry-level Finance Analyst role supports project-based accounting and operational finance for large construction projects. You’ll develop practical, hands-on experience across cost control, payroll, billing, and month-end reporting while working closely with project operations teams.

  • Support project financials and cost control for projects ranging from $1M to $4B
  • Prepare and review cost reports, budget vs. actuals, and exception reports
  • Assist with month-end close tasks and prepare financial reporting packages for project managers
  • Process payroll and support HR-related finance workflows (hire/transfer/terminate/pay)
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions; troubleshoot vendor/payment issues
  • Maintain purchasing workflow controls and verify invoice/receiving documentation
  • Help identify and adjust forecast and budget issues to ensure accurate recognition of cost and revenue
  • Provide excellent customer service to operations teams and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
  • Maintain organized records and follow company compliance and EEO/labor law requirements at the project level

Who You Are / Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of relevant financial or data analysis experience (internship experience preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (as listed by the client)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs and similar functions), Word, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies
  • Effective oral and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in field and office environments
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to freely access all parts of a construction site in varying climates
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Location & Travel

  • Primary location: Fort Worth, TX. Job assignment location will be determined closer to your start date.
  • Projects may require travel and relocation as business needs dictate (travel/relocation up to ~50% possible).
  • Candidates must be willing to go where the work is located and be able to relocate when required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range (as provided by the client): $72,000 — $81,000 per year (actual pay will vary based on education, experience, skillset, and location)
