Finance Analyst - Aftermarket Parts
The Finance Analyst supports the Aftermarket Parts business by performing accounting and financial analysis, including monthly reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. About the Role
The Finance Analyst — Aftermarket Parts will provide accounting and finance support for a growing aftermarket parts business. This role performs general accounting and finance functions, account reconciliations, financial analysis and reporting, monthly close activities, forecasting and annual budgeting. The analyst partners closely with Parts Distribution Center (PDC) operations, inventory management and inventory specialists across multiple facilities to ensure accuracy in reporting inventoriable costs and operational spending.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with internal stakeholders (PDC operations, inventory teams, GPSC) to analyze operational spending and support business growth.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial results and reporting packages for management.
- Lead and support budgeting, forecasting and capital decision analyses (including make-vs-buy and capital appropriation requests).
- Own account reconciliations and monthly close activities for assigned areas and business segments.
- Support testing, documentation and updates to Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) controls and maintain related process documentation.
- Develop and maintain systems, metrics and shared-services procedures to monitor operational performance.
- Identify and support continuous improvement projects using continuous improvement tools and concepts.
- Communicate financial insights and opportunities to improve profitability through pricing and cost efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ability to travel up to 10% (multi-site coordination with Parts Distribution Centers).
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Two (2) or more years of relevant finance/accounting experience or an accounting/finance internship.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with U.S. (and international where applicable) accounting regulations.
- Hands-on experience with account reconciliations, inventory/inventoriable cost accounting, forecasting and month-end close processes.
- Experience supporting SOX controls, process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Compensation & Location
- Pay range: $64,500 — $103,500 per year (posted range; actual pay determined by experience, skills and location).
- Location: Hagerstown, MD (role supports multiple PDC facilities).
- Employment type: Contract — Full time.
- Travel: Up to 10%.
