Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Field Service Engineers to join a global service organization supporting precision semiconductor inspection and metrology systems. This is an excellent opportunity for new college graduates (with internship or hands-on experience) who want to build technical expertise through installations, maintenance, calibration, and customer-facing troubleshooting.

What You’ll Do

• Provide on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex semiconductor inspection and metrology systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, system upgrades, calibration, and testing in cleanroom environments.
• Interface directly with customers to assess issues and deliver technical solutions that maximize system uptime.
• Support system integration, commissioning, and product evaluations.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to resolve challenging technical problems.
• Document service activity, produce service reports, and share feedback to improve products and processes.
• Participate in training sessions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Physics, Materials Science, or Computer Engineering (Chemistry accepted with relevant hands-on FSE experience).
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and common hand tools.
• Experience or demonstrated ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
• Familiarity with lasers, vacuum systems, and optical subsystems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with international teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for customer support and training.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident (Green Card holder).

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Bilingual in Japanese or Mandarin.
• Experience with photomask/mask inspection, metrology (EUV/DUV), lithography, optics, camera systems, lasers, or robotics.
• Prior involvement in installation projects (12+ weeks) covering end-to-end sustainment and maintenance.

Compensation & Logistics

• Salary Range: $85,000–$90,000 per year (as provided by the client).
• Location: Phoenix, AZ — you will be based locally with frequent travel to customer sites as required.
• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Travel: Domestic and international travel for training and customer support.
