Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Field/Office Engineer to support industrial construction projects across the United States. This early-career role combines field support, office engineering, and estimating duties on large-scale industrial, power, and oil & gas projects. You’ll join multi-disciplinary teams delivering complex work while gaining experience across field operations and office estimating.


What You’ll Do

  • Support field operations by interpreting drawings and specifications for craft crews and subcontractors.
  • Prepare work plans, work packages, and assist with material ordering and delivery coordination.
  • Perform office engineering tasks including takeoffs, preparing change order documentation, and providing field support.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractor activities as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Assist the estimating team: review plans and specifications, analyze bid data, and support bid preparation.
  • Provide clear, timely communication to project teams and contribute to a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field. An Associate’s degree plus relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Entry-level / early-career candidates welcome; demonstrated internship or co-op/project experience is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and relocate as project needs require.
  • Comfortable accessing all points of an active construction site in varied climates and conditions.
  • Highly motivated, with a strong work ethic and a demonstrated commitment to quality and integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines both independently and in team settings.
  • Commitment to safety and the ability to help maintain a zero-harm work environment.

Location & Travel

  • This position is field-based with project assignments across the U.S. Possible initial locations include Abilene, TX; El Paso, TX; Caledonia, MS; Conway Springs, KS; or Homer City, PA.
  • Office rotations are expected at regional offices (examples: Denver, CO or Lenexa, KS area).
  • Candidates must be open to relocation for assignments and flexible with travel between field and office rotations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $88,000 – $94,380 per year (actual pay may vary by experience, education, skillset, and location).
