Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Field/Office Engineer to support industrial construction projects across the U.S. This role rotates between field assignments and office estimating/engineering work. You will interpret drawings, support field crews, prepare takeoffs and change orders, and assist project managers and estimators to deliver safe, on-time, quality construction.

Responsibilities

• Field Operations: interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft; prepare work plans and work packages; coordinate material ordering and deliveries.
• Office Engineering: perform takeoffs and prepare documentation; generate change orders for Project Manager review; support field teams and supervise subcontractor interfaces.
• Estimating: review plans and specifications; analyze project data; assist in bid preparation and cost review.
• Provide professional, safety-first support across field and office tasks; communicate clearly with supervisors, craft, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Associate degree considered with relevant experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel and relocate based on project assignments.
• Ability to access all points of an active construction site in varied climates and conditions.
• High motivation, strong work ethic, and commitment to ethics and integrity.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Team player who can also work independently to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and ensuring nobody gets hurt.

Location & Mobility

This position is based at project sites across the U.S. (possible initial assignments include Abilene, TX; El Paso, TX; Caledonia, MS; Conway Springs, KS; or Homer City, PA) with periodic office rotations at regional headquarters (e.g., Denver, CO or Lenexa, KS area). Candidates must be open to relocation and travel as projects require.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $88,000 — $94,380 per year (actual compensation subject to variation due to education, experience, skillset, and/or location).
