The team specializes in Overhead Contact Systems (OCS), traction power substations, signaling and train control, communications, and control centers. We self-perform most disciplines to deliver time, cost and scheduling efficiencies and provide in-house technical expertise that produces reliable, seamless results for our clients.

Work Location & Mobility

This role requires flexibility to relocate based on project needs. Assignments will be determined closer to your start date; candidates must be willing to move initially and throughout their career to major metropolitan areas across the United States. Travel and extended stays at project sites are part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Support field operations by interpreting drawings and specifications for field crews and craft.
• Prepare work plans and work packages; order and schedule material deliveries.
• Coordinate equipment and material logistics for field crews and assist with field inspections.
• Promote safety and quality practices in field operations.
• Perform office engineering tasks — perform takeoffs, assist in pricing change orders, and prepare contractually required submittals.
• Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations when needed.
• Track and report performance of field and office activities, and support project controls (purchasing, scheduling, and material management).
• Assist project management with expediting material deliveries, estimating and processing change orders, and preparing monthly billings and progress estimates.
• Participate in and, when appropriate, lead project meetings focused on status updates and coordination.
• May serve as a discipline engineer or lead on smaller projects; may share superintendent responsibilities on small operations/crews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil, electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering or a related field.
• 0–3 years of construction experience preferred; infrastructure/heavy civil or transit/rail experience is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to travel and relocate initially and throughout your career.
• Strong work ethic; willingness to work more than 40 hours/week and occasional nights/weekends as needed.
• Leadership experience or demonstrated potential to lead teams.
• Ability to access all points of a construction site across varied climates and conditions.
• Highly motivated, accountable, and safety-focused with strong commitment to ethics and integrity.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and on teams to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
