What You’ll Do
This entry-level Field Engineer role in The Dalles, OR is an excellent launch point for a project-management career in construction and advanced technology projects (including semiconductor facilities). You will support project execution by planning, coordinating, and tracking assigned scopes of work so installations are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.
- Plan, schedule, and execute assigned portions of construction projects
- Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams
- Review construction drawings to define scope and quantities
- Resolve onsite engineering questions through communication with designers and owner representatives
- Monitor field work for compliance with plans, specifications, and safety protocols
- Prepare and monitor work packages, labor plans, and cost estimates
- Track progress and update status reports weekly
- Maintain organized project records and document control
- Assist with work-sequence planning and estimate future work
- Take on additional tasks or small projects as assigned to support the project team
Daily Responsibilities
- Learn, follow, and promote all site safety policies and protocols
- Use Microsoft Office and Bluebeam to document progress, produce RFIs, and track deliverables
- Communicate clearly with a broad range of stakeholders (field crews, suppliers, designers, owners)
- Prioritize tasks and manage time across competing needs
- Demonstrate initiative, organization, and a drive to learn and grow on the job
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; intermediate Excel skills preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with trades and engineers
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in construction processes
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel to other regions as projects require
- Valid driver’s license
- Interest in LEAN construction principles a plus
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent experience
- Previous internship or related experience in construction or engineering preferred
- This is targeted to recent graduates and early-career candidates

- Estimated salary: $74,973 per year (estimated)
- Employment type: Contract / Full-time (salaried)
