Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Field Engineer to support Regulatory & Facilities work across healthcare environments. This hybrid role is based in Tampa, FL with up to 75% local and regional travel. Compensation range: $55,000–$65,000 per year (dependent on experience). This position is offered as full-time and may be engaged under contractor terms depending on assignment.


What You’ll Do

This is an early-career, field-focused role supporting healthcare clients with assessments, regulatory readiness, and facilities documentation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with mock regulatory surveys and readiness assessments.
  • Support Physical Environment (PE), Life Safety, and other facilities compliance reviews.
  • Participate in facility condition assessments (FCAs) and infrastructure evaluations.
  • Collect, validate, and organize asset and equipment data in client systems and assessment platforms.
  • Perform field verification, document deficiencies, and support life-safety documentation reviews.
  • Capture field observations via notes, photographs, and reporting tools.
  • Contribute to reports, findings summaries, risk documentation, and client deliverables.
  • Support operational readiness initiatives and project coordination activities.
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues, clients, and project stakeholders.

Who You Are (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of relevant or internship experience; motivated entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong desire to learn healthcare facilities operations, regulatory readiness, and project management.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical thinker with attention to detail and a self-starter attitude.
  • Comfortable working independently in the field and collaboratively with a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Smartsheet, CMMS platforms, AutoCAD, or PM tools is a plus.

Location, Travel & Schedule

  • Work location: Hybrid — mix of remote work and on-site client visits in and around Tampa, FL.
  • Travel: Up to 75% local and regional travel; frequent overnight travel may be required.
  • Employment type: Full-Time (may be engaged as Contractor depending on assignment).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $55,000–$65,000 per year (estimated range provided by Confidential Client; actual pay is dependent on experience, location, and applicable laws).
