What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Field Engineer to work in a fabrication/shop environment supporting advanced-technology and commercial projects. This role is the entry point to a project-management career and involves planning, coordinating, and documenting field work to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

  • Learn, follow, and promote site safety policies and protocols
  • Review construction drawings and compile scope and quantities
  • Coordinate with design engineers, owner representatives, suppliers, and field crews to resolve engineering issues
  • Monitor field construction for compliance with plans and specifications
  • Participate in work sequence planning and scheduling
  • Prepare and monitor work packages (labor and cost estimates)
  • Track construction progress and provide weekly status updates
  • Maintain organized project records and document control
  • Estimate future work and perform additional tasks as assigned

Who You Are / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical/Industrial/Civil Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent education/experience
  • Internship experience in construction or engineering preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across diverse teams
  • Self-starter with good organization, prioritization, and time management
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in LEAN construction principles
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to other regions as needed
  • Commitment to teamwork, client satisfaction, and a safety-first mindset

  • Estimated salary: $65,087 per year (estimated)
