Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Field Engineer to support utility‑scale solar, battery energy storage (BESS), and high‑voltage infrastructure construction. This is a field‑based, full‑time role that works under Project Engineers and Superintendents to help deliver project scopes from preconstruction through final client acceptance. The primary location for this posting is Lebanon, KY; selected candidates should expect to relocate to the assigned project site for the duration of the project and participate in home rotations as required.
What You’ll Do
- Assist Superintendents with all construction activities for an assigned scope, from notice to proceed through final acceptance.
- Partner with the project team to prioritize safety, quality, stewardship, and clear on‑site communication.
- Troubleshoot and resolve site issues through direct, face‑to‑face communication.
- Coordinate on‑site execution activities under Superintendent oversight to help meet design, schedule, and budget targets.
- Support project administration, including documentation, schedule tracking, and reporting.
- Coordinate supplier and subcontractor progress and assist with site logistics.
- Support RFI and submittal workflows for assigned scope.
- Perform contract administration support, schedule management, spreadsheet/report preparation, non‑conformance investigations, corrective action implementation, and routine risk, safety, and quality control tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent construction or renewable energy experience will be considered.
- Basic knowledge of project management phases, construction administration, and field engineering practices.
- Familiarity with public and construction safety and security regulations.
- Strong math and analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Able to read, interpret, and apply IFC drawings and job specifications for civil and electrical scopes.
- Strong coordination, time management, active listening, verbal and written communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Acumatica, MS Project, and MS Office.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to relocate to a project site and work outdoors in varying weather conditions for the project term.
Compensation & Employment Type
- Employment type: Full‑time.
- Estimated pay (Adzuna estimate): $92,755 per year. Actual salary and benefits will be set by the Confidential Client and will depend on experience and project location.
Working Conditions & Location
- Primary job location: Lebanon, KY (100% site‑based with home rotations).
- Candidates must be willing and able to relocate to the project site for the length of the project and travel as required.
- Typical field conditions: outdoor work, exposure to construction environments, and periods of extended on‑site presence.
