Confidential client is hiring a Field Engineer to support heavy civil construction and highway maintenance projects in Highland Park, TX (Dallas–Fort Worth area). • Employment type: Contract, Full time
• Location: Highland Park, TX (work at project sites within the Dallas–Fort Worth area)

• Travel: Regular travel to project sites required

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a safe work environment at all times
• Support quality control to ensure work meets project specifications
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and survey needs for field crews
• Track daily and weekly production via quantity reporting and timecard review
• Perform quantity takeoffs and measure completed work
• Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and owner representatives
• Prepare and maintain three‑week look‑ahead schedules
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and documentation
• Maintain accurate project records and reports
• Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project activities
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other Engineering degree required
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced team environment
• Previous internship or construction experience is a plus

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to travel to project sites and work days, nights, or weekends based on project needs
