Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Field Engineer to support heavy civil construction projects in the Highland Park / Dallas–Fort Worth area. This role is a great fit for recent engineering graduates who want hands-on field experience with highway maintenance, traffic signal work, and related civil construction operations.

What You’ll Do

You will support day-to-day field operations and help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification.

• Promote and maintain a safe work environment at all times
• Support quality control to ensure work meets project specifications
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and survey needs for field crews
• Track daily and weekly production through quantity reporting and timecard review
• Perform quantity takeoffs and measure completed work
• Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and owner representatives
• Prepare and maintain three-week look-ahead schedules
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and documentation
• Maintain accurate project records and reports
• Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project activities
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an engineering discipline required
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Previous internship or construction experience is a plus

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to travel to project sites as required
• Ability to work days, nights, and weekends based on project needs
