Field Engineer

What You’ll Do
The confidential client is hiring a Field Engineer to support heavy civil construction projects. You will work closely with project engineers, superintendents, and foremen to ensure projects are built safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Work alongside superintendents and foremen to plan, track, and execute field activities per design and specifications
- Perform and verify quantity takeoffs, cost reporting, and materials tracking
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to keep schedules and budgets on track
- Participate in work planning, project documentation, and progress meetings
- Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control processes
- Identify and help resolve field challenges quickly using teamwork and problem-solving
- Support change order management, cost reporting, and close‑out documentation
- Promote and uphold the confidential client's culture of safety — ensuring every person goes home safe every day
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (preferred)
- 1+ years of experience in heavy highway, road, or bridge construction (internship or field experience counts)
- Experience on projects $10M+ preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Bluebeam and AutoCAD preferred
- Proactive, detail-oriented mindset and commitment to teamwork

Compensation
- Base salary: $76,000–$90,000 per year (as provided)
- Additional benefits and a performance bonus program as listed above

- Role requires on-site field work; relocation may be required for certain projects
