Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Field Bulletin Engineer (Engineer I level) based in Poway, CA. This is a hybrid, full-time engineering role focused on researching, coordinating, developing, and releasing field bulletins to improve product safety and reliability for aerospace systems. Candidates should have strong technical writing, database research skills, and the ability to obtain DoD security clearances. This role requires U.S. citizenship.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine scope, urgency, recommended actions, and impacts for field bulletins.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple bulletin assignments.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze anomalies using engineering and scientific principles to determine rework or corrective direction.
  • Draft, review, and prepare field bulletins for stakeholder review and signature approval.
  • Research applicable internal and customer databases (e.g., SharePoint, WindChill, REMIS, SAP, COLTS) to support bulletin development and closure.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials, specifications, technical documents, and publications.
  • Obtain stakeholder concurrence for bulletin release and closure.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and follow corporate policies and applicable laws.
  • Provide on-site support and travel as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent engineering experience.
  • Entry-level experience (0–2 years) in engineering; aviation or aircraft experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical writing skills; able to convey complex technical issues clearly and concisely.
  • Proven research skills with engineering databases; working knowledge of SharePoint highly desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance (Secret level desired).
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.

Compensation & Workstyle

  • Pay range: $62,510 — $105,628 per year (range provided by our client).
  • Employment type: Full-Time.
  • Workstyle: Hybrid (on-site presence in Poway, CA required as specified).
  • Travel: 0%–25% as needed.
  • Relocation assistance: Provided (per client policy).
