What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Field Auditor (Operations) to support financial and operational audits across Puerto Rico. This part-time role is ideal for a recent accounting graduate or early-career auditor who wants hands-on audit experience, exposure to client-facing engagements, and structured support toward CPA licensure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, execution, and documentation of financial audits, reviews, and assurance engagements under senior supervision.
- Prepare clear, complete, and professionally documented working papers that support audit conclusions.
- Execute substantive tests and controls testing accurately and efficiently.
- Evaluate financial and operational information to identify discrepancies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Obtain, organize, and secure audit evidence so files remain audit-ready throughout the engagement.
- Meet time budgets and delivery deadlines across multiple assignments.
- Contribute to standardizing Audit Department processes and improving quality and efficiency.
- Use technology and AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) to enhance documentation accuracy and efficiency.
- Travel to client sites across municipalities in Puerto Rico as required; perform professional on-site audit work.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professional ethics when handling client information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Recent graduate or up to two years of relevant experience in auditing, public accounting, or a closely related field (internships count).
- Eligible to obtain a CPA license; active pursuit of CPA licensure strongly encouraged.
- Professional proficiency in Spanish (oral and written); functional proficiency in English (oral and written).
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint).
- Experience or familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for travel to client facilities.
- Ability to work in an office and on-site environments; able to remain seated or standing for extended periods as required.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, time management, and professional communication skills.

Compensation & Schedule
- Target base salary (estimated): $57,764 per year (reported estimate).
- Employment type: Part-time.
- Work location: On-site and travel to client facilities across Puerto Rico as required.
