Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Family Support Specialist to deliver the Parents as Teachers (PAT) curriculum to families in a home-based model. This role supports parents of infants and young children by promoting healthy child development, nurturing attachment, and connecting families to community resources. This is a full-time, telecommute-eligible role based in Halyoke, MA that involves travel to family homes; a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required.
What You’ll Do
- Provide strengths-based, home-visiting family support using the Parents as Teachers model
- Teach parents about infant and early childhood health, development, and caregiving
- Promote positive parenting skills, nurturing attachment, and parent–child interaction
- Help parents set and reach goals related to education, employment, and housing
- Connect families with community services (healthcare, education, financial resources, housing)
- Encourage co-parent and family participation in program groups and activities
- Maintain accurate case records, complete assessments, and report on family progress
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred (different pay scale applies)
- Experience working directly with children and families (home visiting, early childhood, casework, or similar)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable, personally owned vehicle for travel to client homes
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred (may qualify for language stipend)
- Strong communication, cultural humility, and ability to work independently in the field
- Reliable internet access and ability to complete remote documentation as required
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate:
- High school diploma: $20.60/hr
- Bachelor’s degree: $21.75/hr
- Bilingual candidates fluent in a needed language may be eligible for a 6% salary increase

Schedule & Location
- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM with flexibility for occasional evenings or events
- Primary work model: telecommute-eligible with required in-person home visits in and around Halyoke, MA
- Job location: Halyoke, MA (travel to family homes required)
