About the Role
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Tax Associate to start in August 2027 in our Lake Oswego, OR office. This position offers broad exposure across tax compliance, accounting, consulting, and planning while providing mentorship and hands-on client work. Ideal for candidates pursuing the CPA and interested in building a tax career in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with preparation and review of tax work products and calculations
- Support tax compliance and consulting engagements with accuracy and timeliness
- Help with federal, state, and international tax matters that arise on engagements
- Research tax laws, regulations, and business developments to support client work
- Proactively manage assignments, deadlines, and deliverables
- Communicate status, questions, and issues openly with managers and team members
- Learn tax concepts, processes, and best practices through hands-on engagement work
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required; master’s preferred
- On track to graduate with an accounting-focused degree with CPA eligibility no earlier than Dec 2026 and no later than Aug 2027
- Minimum 3.2 overall GPA preferred
- Strong ambition to become a Certified Public Accountant and pursue a career in Tax
- Motivated, quick learner with excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel emphasis)
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- This role requires physical presence in the Lake Oswego, OR office a minimum of 2 days per week
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated salary range: $72,000 — $90,000 (actual pay will depend on experience, qualifications, and other factors)
