What You’ll Do

The Facilities Project Management Specialist (entry-level) supports facilities projects, site safety efforts, and day-to-day maintenance coordination. You will work closely with Facilities and Safety leadership to help plan, track, and execute CapEx and operational projects while contributing to continuous improvement and safety compliance.

  • Work with the Facilities Project Manager to plan, track, and execute facilities projects (CapEx and operational)
  • Maintain project documentation, schedules, and trackers
  • Coordinate with vendors for quotes, scheduling, procurement, and project updates
  • Support project milestones including procurement, installation, commissioning, and closeout
  • Assist in facility layouts, space planning, basic design concepts, and review of drawings/submittals under supervision
  • Support infrastructure planning (electrical, racking, equipment placement)
  • Provide technical support to maintenance (CAD assistance, documentation, technical references)
  • Assist with maintenance coordination and facility-related logistics (events, access)
  • Help identify recurring facility issues and support implementation of improvement solutions
  • Collaborate with Safety to track audits, corrective actions, incidents, and safety improvements
  • Manage employee badge creation, access control records, and support security requests/audits
  • Support continuous improvement programs (Lean, 5S) and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you should be organized, curious, and comfortable supporting multiple small projects and moving parts. The role is suitable for early-career professionals and interns.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical), Construction Management, Project Management, or related field preferred — equivalent facilities or operations experience considered
  • 0–2 years experience in facilities, construction, engineering, project coordination, or operations support; internships welcome
  • Basic knowledge of engineering and construction principles; ability to read/interprete basic drawings/layouts preferred
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with project tracking tools and CAD is a plus
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn facility systems, safety practices, and project management processes

Preferred

  • Safety certifications (OSHA, First Aid/CPR) or Lean/Six Sigma exposure
  • Prior exposure to CapEx projects, vendor coordination, or access-control systems
  • Hands-on familiarity with CAD, space planning, or maintenance documentation
