Overview

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Mechanical Engineers for a Facilities Engineering program (2026–2027) at operating locations including Midland, TX. This role is designed for recent graduates or early-career engineers who will participate in a structured development program to build technical skills across mechanical systems used in industrial facilities.


What You’ll Do

  • Support operating facilities and capital projects using technical mechanical engineering knowledge and project skills
  • Optimize facility performance to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency
  • Provide technical support for turnarounds and maintenance activities
  • Design, analyze, and optimize fixed and rotating equipment (piping & valve systems, heaters, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, rotating equipment)
  • Help develop or deploy technologies to reduce carbon intensity and increase operational efficiency
  • Use digitalization and data analytics to support process operations and safety
  • Participate in multiple assignments, mentoring, and classroom training as part of an early-career development track

Qualifications

  • Student in final year of a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, OR graduate with a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering and two years or less of directly related experience
  • Strong academic record in core engineering coursework
  • Good communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a safety-first culture and demonstrate client values
  • Position may require routine driving and occasional travel

Program & Career Path

  • Participants will be enrolled in a structured early-career development program focused on Mechanical Systems (Horizons-style), typically completed within the first five years
  • Rotations and multiple work assignments to build competencies in design, reliability, safety, subsea (where applicable), and project execution
  • Career paths may include Reliability & Integrity Engineering, Technical Safety, Subsea, Engineering Design & Projects, General Facilities Engineering, and leadership roles

Compensation & Benefits

  • Anticipated salary range: $111,000 - $136,000 annually (final offer will depend on degree level and discipline)
  • Competitive benefits package including variable pay, health coverage, retirement plan, protection coverage, paid time off, leave programs, training and development, and work-related allowances
  • Relocation may be considered for qualified candidates
