Responsibilities

  • Establish timely contact and build rapport with insureds, drivers, witnesses and other parties to gather facts and explain the claims process.
  • Assess coverage and identify potential coverage issues.
  • Document claim files thoroughly with investigation details and decisions.
  • Communicate coverage and liability decisions clearly to applicable parties.
  • Document damages and resolve claims within assigned authority limits.
  • Assign claims to material damage handling units for inspection or repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate file notes and correspondence in a fast-paced environment.
  • Monitor and manage reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim.
  • Escalate potential fraud, recovery opportunities, or severity increases to claims supervisor.
  • Drive timely, cost-effective claim resolution.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of P&C adjusting experience preferred (entry-level candidates considered).
  • Must be fluent in English; Spanish fluency preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must have an active Texas adjuster license OR be willing to obtain one.
  • Must obtain a Florida adjuster license prior to start date.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document and explain decisions clearly.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, courteous telephone manner and ability to work well on a team.
  • Calm demeanor under pressure and good time-management skills.

Location & Schedule

This is an entry-level, hybrid position based out of our Plano, Texas office. Candidates should be able to commute to the Plano location per the hybrid schedule. This role is full-time and provides clear paths for career growth within the claims function.
