What You’ll Do

You will join a clinical rehabilitation team supporting patient assessment and exercise-based therapy. Working under the direction of clinical leadership, you will:

  • Perform and interpret physiological assessments and exercise tests, identifying high-risk findings and communicating results.
  • Design and deliver individualized exercise prescriptions based on test data, medical regimens, and patient status.
  • Teach and supervise therapeutic exercise programs; demonstrate safe equipment use and discontinue activity when clinically indicated.
  • Monitor patient response and adjust treatment plans; document patient progress and clinical encounters accurately.
  • Maintain and verify calibration and safe operation of department equipment.
  • Coordinate scheduling, referrals, and program logistics to meet departmental productivity goals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary committees, performance improvement initiatives, staff/student development, and community education/outreach.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field is required.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR required.
  • Experience: 1+ experience applying exercise concepts/techniques in a biological or medical setting is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong competency in exercise physiology principles and clinical application.
    • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend conversational English.
    • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar).
    • Strong communication, patient-education, and public-speaking abilities.
  • Physical & Other Requirements:

    • This role may require Florida Level 2 background screening (fingerprinting) per state law.
