What You’ll Do

Under general supervision and following established policies, you will plan, develop, implement and evaluate individualized exercise prescriptions and risk-factor modification programs for patients in a cardiac rehabilitation setting. You will design and deliver educational programming, supervise support staff as appropriate, and document patient progress.

• Develop and implement individualized cardiac exercise prescriptions
• Monitor patient response to exercise and adjust programs accordingly
• Conduct risk assessments and document clinical outcomes
• Lead and participate in patient education sessions (cardiac risk reduction, lifestyle counseling)
• Provide direction and training to support staff and students as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary care teams and referring clinicians

Who You Are / Qualifications

Minimum and preferred qualifications based on the role:

• Bachelor of Science in Allied Health or a related health discipline (e.g., Physical Therapy, Physiology, Physical Education, Community Education). Master’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years clinical experience in cardiology or a related healthcare setting preferred.
• American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certification as a Certified Exercise Specialist preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications required.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient-education skills.
• Ability to work PRN day shifts (flexible scheduling) and collaborate in a team-based clinical environment.
