What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Electronic Warfare (EW) Mission Data Engineer to support development and validation of mission data and EW improvements for combat aircraft (including F‑35 programs). In this role you will apply analytical methods, support test activities, and help develop software and data used in EW defensive systems.

  • Prepare final test reports and present results to review boards and leadership
  • Support technical working groups and program reviews (TPWGs, PMRs, PDRs, CDRs)
  • Recommend concepts of interest (COIs), program objectives, and test approaches
  • Develop and update threat databases using EWIR tools
  • Design and run Performance Characterization Assessments and lab simulations
  • Generate and optimize EW mission data (MD) software files and verify MD prior to fielding
  • Perform rapid reprogramming of fielded MD in response to adversary threat changes
  • Develop MD-related instrumentation, data management, and analysis plans
  • Coordinate with higher headquarters and partner organizations to schedule MDO resources
  • Conduct briefings and debriefings; document technical status, accomplishments, and risks

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance within 6–9 months of hire
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable designing and using computer-based tools to extract and analyze threat system parameters
  • Ability to work in lab and field environments, and to support rapid reprogramming and software verification activities

Preferred / Nice-to-have

  • Exposure to EWIR tools, mission-data development, or EW laboratory simulations
  • Experience supporting aircraft EW systems (radar warning receivers, ECM jammers, dispenser systems) or related test programs
  • Prior involvement in technical reviews, test planning, or mission-data baselining

  • Security: U.S. Citizenship required; candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within 6–9 months

Compensation

  • Estimated (from source): $146,763 per year (estimated). Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications and will be determined by Confidential Client in accordance with applicable laws.
