Program Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an ETDP Associate — Software Engineering to join a two-year, paid Enterprise Technology Development Program (ETDP). This early-career rotational program gives recent graduates hands-on experience across multiple engineering teams, mentorship, and exposure to full lifecycle software delivery in an enterprise environment.

What You’ll Do
As an ETDP Associate on a software engineering team, you will support the design, build, test, and deployment of scalable applications across digital channels. Typical responsibilities include:
- Assist and actively participate on project teams in various roles within agile delivery teams.
- Contribute to requirements analysis, technical design, implementation, and testing of application features and enhancements.
- Write code that follows established coding standards and participates in code reviews.
- Help create and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and task breakdowns; update status in tracking tools.
- Research best practices, emerging technologies, and propose improvements relevant to rotations.
- Provide general production support and remediation for less complex issues.
- Other duties as assigned to support the program and product delivery.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Graduated from an accredited bachelor's (or higher) degree program within the last year.
- Minimum 3.2 GPA from most recently completed degree program (prior to start date).
- Completed at least one quality internship in a relevant technical role.
- Active involvement in extracurriculars, volunteerism, clubs, or other activities outside the classroom.
- Experience with at least one modern programming language (Java, C++, or Perl preferred).
- Conceptual understanding of web service technologies (APIs), e.g., RESTful, JSON-RPC, XML-RPC, SOAP.
- Hands-on experience with at least two of: Node.js, Oracle Database, NoSQL databases, SQL, Linux, JCL.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and debugging methodologies.
- Ability to translate technical designs, mockups/prototypes and user stories into working applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with one or more general-purpose languages: Java, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Python, JavaScript, or Go.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Familiarity with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Web, Spring Batch).
- Demonstrated ability to produce fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Prior exposure to enterprise engineering practices, CI/CD, and automated testing.

Education & Other Requirements
- Degree: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related — required.
- GPA: 3.2 or higher (from most recently completed degree program).
- Start window: Program is targeted at recent graduates (graduated within the last year).
- Work authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Physical/Environment: Office-based role; physical presence at the Pittsburgh work site is required.
- Travel: Up to 25% possible depending on rotation assignments.
