What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an Estimator to support quoting and project scoping for metal fabrication and industrial machinery work. In this role you will combine engineering fundamentals with manufacturing knowledge to produce accurate, competitive estimates and support project execution.
- Prepare cost estimates for industrial machinery and metal fabrication projects
- Analyze mechanical drawings, specifications, bills of materials and project requirements
- Gather and evaluate supplier quotes, material costs, labor estimates and lead times
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, sales and operations to clarify scope and assumptions
- Develop quotes, proposals and budgets; track changes and assumptions through the proposal lifecycle
- Build and maintain estimating templates, cost models and spreadsheet-based calculators
- Identify pricing risks and recommend mitigation or contingency allowances
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related engineering discipline)
- 2+ years estimating experience in metal manufacturing or industrial machinery
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with numbers, cost models and spreadsheets
- Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with solid written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented attitude and ability to coordinate with engineering, production and sales teams
- Experience with ERP systems, CAD, or formal estimating software is a plus

- Salary: $75,000–$100,000 per year (range provided by Confidential Client)
- Employment type: Full-time
