Program overview
Confidential Client is seeking motivated, entry-level engineers for a 12–18 month Engineering Rotational Development Program (ERDP) — Product Development Track. This in-person, full-time program places early-career engineers in multiple rotations across product design, simulation, test/validation, controls, electronics, embedded software, software validation, data analytics, and process engineering. The program offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and structured development to accelerate your engineering career.
What You’ll Do
- Participate in 3–6 rotations across engineering teams to gain broad exposure to product development lifecycle.
- Work on design, simulation, validation, controls, electronics, embedded software, or process-improvement projects tied to real product outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, suppliers, testing, product management) to move concepts to production.
- Develop, test, and validate control algorithms, embedded code, electronic modules, and mechanical or system-level designs.
- Apply simulation tools (CFD, FEA), HIL/SIL testing, and data-analytics techniques to evaluate and optimize performance.
- Diagnose issues in test and field environments and implement corrective actions using root-cause analysis.
- Document technical decisions, FMEAs, test results, and design artifacts to meet quality and safety standards.
- Build technical and leadership skills through structured feedback, mentorship, and stretch assignments.
Who You Are (Required Qualifications)
- ABET-accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Agricultural, or Aerospace Engineering; Engineering Technology; or closely related technical discipline (degree must be complete prior to start).
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 (no rounding).
- 12 months or less of professional engineering experience (internships and co-ops excluded from this limit).
- Willingness to relocate and travel as needed; most openings based in Peoria, IL area with roles across the U.S.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Effective written and verbal communication and demonstrated ability to work on diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and a strong willingness to learn by doing.
- Availability for an in-person, Monday–Friday work schedule.
Preferred / Distinguishing Experiences
- Campus design team or competition experience (Formula SAE, Baja, robotics, etc.).
- Leadership or project management experience on teams or technical projects.
- Prior technical internship or co-op experience.
- Familiarity with one or more of: MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C/C++, ANSYS or other CFD/FEA tools, PCB/layout tools, HIL/SIL environments, data analytics or machine learning basics.
- Embedded systems, controls, or test/validation experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Summary pay range: $81,370.00 - $133,810.00 per year (range provided by Confidential Client; actual compensation depends on location, experience, and other individualized factors).

Program Logistics & Additional Info
- Locations: Applicants will be considered for positions throughout the United States. Most positions are based in Peoria, IL (Mossville region); limited availability in other US locations.
- Start dates (2027): February 1, 2027; June 7, 2027; July 12, 2027; August 2, 2027. Seats limited per start date.
- Employment type: Full-time, in-person (Monday–Friday).
