Position summary
Confidential Client is seeking an Epic Applications Analyst II (listed as Entry-Level Field Analyst on some job boards) to join their Information Technology team. This role is primarily focused on Epic modules that support Home Health, Hospice, and Home-Based care workflows. The position is full-time and eligible for remote work from specific approved U.S. states (see Approved States below). The role reports to the Manager, Information Technology.
What You’ll Do
Confidential Client’s Epic Applications Analyst II will plan, build, test, deploy, and support Epic EHR applications to maximize business value and clinical outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead installation and implementation of system patches, service packs, and version upgrades.
- Drive process improvement efforts and maintain a roadmap for system improvements.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational users to analyze workflows, data requirements, and reporting needs.
- Configure Epic application settings and manage design choices that align with organizational strategies.
- Lead and participate in integrated area workgroups and governance committees (RAC, CPAC, domain groups).
- Design and execute small-to-medium scale application testing and support large-scale testing as assigned.
- Troubleshoot and document issues of varying complexity; escalate to management or vendor when needed.
- Maintain data integrity, security, and compliance for assigned applications.
- Mentor and support Application Analyst I-level staff; participate in on-call rotation and after-hours escalation as required.
- Manage small-scale projects and produce related project deliverables and documentation.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent work experience.
- Epic certification in at least one application (must complete Epic certification training if not currently certified; training may require overnight travel). Must pass Epic certification exam within 3 months of training.
- Minimum of four (4) years paid experience, including at least two (2) years in an Epic Analyst role and two (2) years in a healthcare environment involving systems analysis, project management, or operational support.
- Ability to travel to business functions, trainings, and Confidential Client worksites; meet driving requirements where applicable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with hospital and ambulatory systems such as 3M, GE, Workday, Cerner, Allscripts, or McKesson.
- Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, MIS, or computer science.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range (level 2): $78,478 – $117,728 per year (based on experience). This role may be filled at higher levels depending on qualifications.

- Primary location: Arizona (remote-eligible).
- This role is eligible to work remotely from the following approved U.S. states: Oregon, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, and Wisconsin.

- Job type: Full-time; Standard hours: 40 hours/week; First shift (08:00–17:00). Exempt position.
Physical & Other Requirements
- Predominant duties are sedentary: sitting and keyboard operation (~75%).
- Occasionally standing, light lifting (1–10 lbs), bending, and reaching.
- Minimal exposure to environmental hazards; no blood-borne pathogen risk.
- Ability to wear required PPE where applicable.
