What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a junior-level Environmental Scientist to support environmental compliance programs focused on RCRA, state hazardous waste, non-RCRA/regulated waste, and hazardous materials management. This is primarily an office-based, full-time role with occasional client or field interactions.
Primary responsibilities:
- Execute and manage assigned work scopes while meeting project schedules and budgets
- Work independently and collaboratively on project teams; adapt to changing project conditions
- Support data analytics and waste profile management; identify and resolve data discrepancies through to completion
- Communicate with regulatory agencies, clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Follow established processes and help develop new procedures for non-standard tasks
- Provide direction to entry-level staff when appropriate and ensure high-quality deliverables
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, chemistry, physics, biology, engineering, or a related field
- 2–4 years related work experience in environmental compliance
- Prior experience or training with federal and state environmental regulations; specific RCRA and hazardous waste compliance experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to meet deadlines
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (expert level), plus proficiency with MS Word and SharePoint Online; ability to learn other software tools quickly
Preferred
- Experience with waste profile management and environmental data analytics
- Experience interacting with regulatory agencies or clients on compliance topics

- Lifting/Carrying: up to 35 lb.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range (good-faith estimate provided by our client): $32.69 - $35.10 per hour.
