Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Environmental Project Engineer to join their site engineering team in Hansen Road, WI. This is an early-career role in an Engineering Development Program focused on environmental and civil infrastructure projects at manufacturing sites. You will support permitting, project controls, and field execution while gaining ownership of smaller projects and contributing to larger capital work.

What You’ll Do

No two weeks look the same. Responsibilities include:

• Assist project managers with development of project scope, budget, schedule, risk identification, and permitting plans.
• Manage action registers and track schedule and budget performance against the approved baseline.
• Provide onsite construction support, including contractor coordination, field verification, and safety and quality observations.
• Lead project management of small projects using the site’s Business Process for Projects.
• Support projects across water resources, waste management, and heavy infrastructure (e.g., stormwater facilities, wastewater treatment, process sewers, landfills, marine facilities).

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) for project tracking and communication.
• Ability to work onsite at a manufacturing facility and in active construction areas; occasional travel to other sites required.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications (Will Put You Ahead)

• Internship, co-op, or work experience on environmental, civil, or heavy industrial construction projects.
• Experience with environmental permitting (stormwater, wastewater discharge, air, or solid waste permits).
• Familiarity with project controls fundamentals: cost estimating, scheduling, change management, and risk registers.
• Coursework or field experience in water resources, geotechnical engineering, hydraulics and hydrology, or landfill design.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or progress toward PE licensure.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, or scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Demonstrated ownership of a project or initiative from planning through completion (school, internship, or work).
