Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Environmental Planner / Scientist to join their environmental team in Williams Grv, PA. This role supports senior environmental scientists and engineers on projects involving environmental documentation, field assessments, permitting, and compliance. The position is full-time (contractor + full-time employment types considered) and requires periodic field work, including occasional overnight travel.
What You’ll Do
Support project teams on environmental planning, permitting, and field studies, including:
- Prepare state and federal environmental documentation, including NEPA support
- Conduct socioeconomic analyses, including environmental justice assessments
- Assist with wetland delineations and Clean Water Act (Section 404/401) permitting support
- Perform stream assessments and habitat evaluations for threatened and endangered species
- Conduct environmental site investigations, sampling, and terrestrial ecosystem assessments (riverine, wetland, upland)
- Assist with field surveys and data collection; document findings and prepare technical reports
- Use GIS tools (ESRI ArcGIS preferred) to analyze and present environmental data
- Travel periodically for fieldwork (may include overnight trips)
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in challenging outdoor environments (heat, steep terrain)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS is preferred but not required
