What You’ll Do

This hands-on EHS role supports manufacturing, construction, and field operations. You will apply practical safety solutions, support industrial hygiene monitoring, and help maintain EHS program records and training to protect employees and support operational goals.

• Field and operational safety

• Conduct routine safety inspections of manufacturing facilities, construction projects, and field-service activities; document observations and recommend practical corrective actions

• Participate in pre‑mobilization and operational safety reviews

• Assist project teams with Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and task-level risk assessments

• Track and close corrective actions; escalate overdue or high-risk items

• Industrial hygiene and compliance

• Support industrial hygiene monitoring and exposure assessments (air sampling and other evaluations) under established procedures

• Maintain and coordinate calibration of monitoring equipment

• Research and help interpret OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local EHS requirements

• Prepare clear inspection and monitoring reports with recommended next steps

• Training, systems, and program support

• Coordinate employee safety training, certifications, and compliance records; assist with training delivery and communications

• Support EHS management platforms (Salus, Intelex, or similar) — maintain data, track actions, monitor training status, and assist users

• Assist with incident investigations, documentation, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action follow-up

• Administer safety programs (e.g., Safety Boot, prescription safety glasses) and coordinate PPE and supply purchasing/inventory

Qualifications

Required

• Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, certificate, or equivalent combination of education and relevant EHS, construction, manufacturing, military, internship, or co‑op experience
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and foundational safety principles; ability to research unfamiliar requirements
• Strong written communication, organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
• Confidence communicating with employees, supervisors, project teams, and leadership across office, plant, and field environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25%–50% depending on project needs; comfort working at active construction and manufacturing locations
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet client travel requirements

Preferred (not required)

• 1–3 years of EHS, construction safety, manufacturing safety, or related experience (internships/co-ops count)
• Experience with industrial hygiene sampling or monitoring equipment
• OSHA 30‑Hour Construction or General Industry training, or willingness to obtain within six months
• Familiarity with Salus, Intelex, or other EHS management systems
• GSP, ASP, CHST, OHSA, or interest in pursuing professional safety credentials

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This role regularly uses computers and standard office equipment and frequently moves through manufacturing facilities and active construction sites. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, navigate uneven work areas, and lift/carry up to 20 pounds. Work can involve varying weather conditions, elevated noise, dust, and controlled construction/manufacturing hazards.

Required PPE may include safety-toe footwear, hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, hearing protection, and other project-specific protective equipment. Reasonable accommodations will be considered to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
