What You’ll Do

As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Associate you will support and lead initiatives that improve workplace safety, environmental performance, and regulatory compliance at a manufacturing site. You will work closely with operations, maintenance, leadership, and contractors to drive continuous improvement and help create a safer, more sustainable workplace.

  • Lead projects that improve safety, environmental performance, and operational excellence
  • Build and maintain emergency response programs; coordinate drills and ensure site readiness
  • Develop and deliver engaging safety and environmental training for plant employees
  • Participate in incident investigations to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence
  • Support audits, government inspections, and customer visits
  • Use data and analytics to identify trends, measure performance, and drive improvements
  • Partner with contractors and service providers to ensure safe work practices and effective risk controls
  • Implement programs and processes that identify hazards and reduce risk across the facility
  • Collaborate with experienced EHS professionals who will mentor and support your development

Required Qualifications

  • Right to work in the U.S. not based solely on possession of a student visa or a third-party-sponsored visa
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in engineering, ergonomics/human factors, occupational safety, environmental sciences, fire safety, or a related field; graduating between December 2026 and May 2027
  • Must be geographically flexible and willing to relocate; able and willing to work in a plant/manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • High degree of initiative and resourcefulness; able to complete work with limited guidance

  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Strong science and math fundamentals
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic business process awareness and ability to collaborate on process improvements
  • Demonstrated teamwork and individual contribution to projects

Location & Work Environment

Primary job location: Butler, WI. This role is site-based in a plant/manufacturing environment and requires the ability to perform responsibilities safely around production operations. Candidates must be comfortable working in industrial settings and demonstrate flexibility to support site needs.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Expected salary: $72,000 per year (as disclosed by the employer)
