What You’ll Do

As an early-career Environmental Engineer on the Water Services team, you will support the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater projects. Under supervision, typical responsibilities include:

  • Support design and engineering for water/wastewater treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and related infrastructure
  • Conduct site assessments and collect data to support design decisions
  • Perform water quality analyses and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM)
  • Prepare technical calculation packages, design drawings (CADD), and engineering reports
  • Use GIS (ArcGIS) and Excel to analyze data and produce deliverables
  • Assist with client deliverables and presentation materials for meetings and industry events
  • Participate in fieldwork and construction management support as needed
  • Ensure designs comply with federal, state, and local regulatory standards and client specifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or closely related discipline — or equivalent directly related experience
  • Approximately 1 year of relevant engineering experience (entry-level to early career)
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required; expected travel is 10% or less
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position in the United States

Skills & Abilities

  • Intermediate knowledge of CADD and drafting practices
  • Experience or familiarity with ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, and Excel
  • Strong understanding of engineering design principles for water resources or environmental projects
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; able to contribute to reports and presentations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team under supervision

Compensation & Other Details

  • Pay range (good faith estimate for this location): USD $66,872 — USD $110,323 per year
  • Additional compensation: discretionary bonuses may apply
  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Background checks and drug testing may be required as permitted by law and applicable to the role
  • Agency submissions: All vendor placements must follow our client’s agency policy
