What You’ll Do
Confidential Client seeks an entry-level Environmental / Water Resources / Civil Engineer to join a Water Services team in Manhattan, NY. Working under direct supervision, you will support design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and related infrastructure. This role is ideal for recent graduates who want hands-on engineering experience across the full project lifecycle — from site assessment and modeling to reporting and occasional fieldwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, sewer/storm systems, and pipelines
- Conduct site assessments and field visits as needed
- Perform water quality analyses and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling (HEC‑RAS, SWMM or similar)
- Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and project documentation
- Produce drawings and deliverables using CADD and drafting tools
- Create maps and spatial analyses using ArcGIS
- Assist with client presentations and internal project meetings
- Support construction management field activities when required
- Maintain clear written and verbal communication with project team members
Skills & Abilities
- Basic knowledge of computer‑aided design and drafting (CADD) tools and practices
- Familiarity with ArcGIS, HEC‑RAS, SWMM, or similar modeling tools (or strong willingness to learn)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow engineering standards under supervision
- Willingness to participate in occasional travel and fieldwork
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, Water Resources, or related discipline (or equivalent directly related experience)
- Entry-level (0+ years) — recent graduates encouraged to apply
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required (estimate: up to 10% or less)
- U.S. work authorization required — visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range (good-faith estimate for this Manhattan assignment): USD $64,813 – $106,954 per year
- Discretionary bonuses may apply
