What You’ll Do

This Entry‑Level Water/Wastewater Engineer role supports municipal and utility projects focused on water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, and distribution. You will work with senior engineers and project managers to design, analyze, and deliver solutions that improve water quality and system reliability.

• Assist in design and analysis of treatment plants, distribution systems, collection networks, pump stations, and pipelines
• Prepare engineering drawings, technical reports, and specifications
• Perform hydraulic modeling and calculations to support system design
• Conduct field investigations, data collection, and site inspections
• Support permitting, compliance, and regulatory documentation
• Help prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and construction support materials
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality project outcomes

Who You Are / Qualifications

Basic qualifications we look for in strong candidates:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
• 0–5 years of relevant engineering experience (internships or co‑ops welcome)
• Familiarity with common engineering software: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and hydraulic modeling tools
• EIT (Engineer‑in‑Training) certification or ability to obtain within one year is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to perform fieldwork and site visits as needed
• Team player with attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and commitment to safety and quality

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Practical experience or coursework in water and wastewater treatment processes
• Hands‑on use of hydraulic modeling (e.g., HEC‑RAS, EPANET) or SCADA exposure
• Experience preparing permitting or regulatory submittals
• Prior exposure to municipal projects, construction support, or cost estimating
