Position Overview
Confidential Client (Engineering) is hiring an Entry‑Level Water/Wastewater Engineer in Raleigh, NC. This is a full‑time, permanent role working on municipal and institutional water and wastewater projects — treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, and related infrastructure. You will work alongside senior engineers and project managers to design, model, and support projects that improve water quality and system resiliency.
Primary Function
Support design and delivery of water and wastewater engineering projects across planning, permitting, design, and construction phases. This role is ideal for recent graduates or engineers with up to one year of professional experience who want hands‑on technical development in hydraulic modeling, infrastructure design, and field investigations.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the design and analysis of water/wastewater treatment facilities, distribution systems, and collection networks
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Perform hydraulic modeling and engineering calculations
- Conduct field investigations, data collection, and site inspections
- Support permitting and regulatory compliance activities
- Help prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and construction documents
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate, constructible solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
- 0–1 years of engineering experience (internship experience is a plus)
- EIT certification preferred or ability to obtain within one year
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and hydraulic modeling tools is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in team settings; willingness to perform occasional field work
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Basic hydraulic modeling (pipe network and treatment process) experience
- Familiarity with permitting processes and regulatory requirements for water/wastewater projects
- Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills
- Commitment to safety and quality in engineering work

Compensation & Location
- Estimated base: $69,357 per year (estimated)
- Employment type: Full‑time, Permanent
- Location: Raleigh, NC (on‑site or hybrid as required by project needs)
