Position Summary
Confidential client in Engineering is seeking an Entry Level Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their team in Highland Park, TX (hybrid). This entry-level role supports water and wastewater utility projects including treatment plants, pump/booster stations, pipeline design, rehabilitation, master planning, and construction administration. Target start: May or June 2027.
What You’ll Do
- Provide technical support across utility design projects: treatment plants, pump/booster stations, water lines and collection systems, rehabilitation, master planning, and construction administration
- Prepare designs, calculations, sketches, schematic and final working drawings
- Work under the supervision of senior project managers and senior-level team members in the water/wastewater or water resources practice
- Apply fundamental engineering principles, judgment, and best practices to solve routine engineering problems
- Perform engineering analyses and calculations with minimal supervision
- Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables and perform quality-control checks on calculations and drawings
- Gather field data using tablets and GPS units; perform site visits, field measurements, mapping, and construction observations
- Record, interpret, and compare findings to relevant local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance
- Use industry software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Bentley products, and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling tools
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Zero to limited professional experience accepted; demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience considered
- Valid U.S. driver’s license required for site visits and client meetings
- Due to the nature of some projects, U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or coursework related to water/wastewater utility planning, hydraulic modeling, condition assessment, and design
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Bentley, MicroStation, CADD, HCS, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to coordinate with technicians, designers, engineers, project managers, clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies
- Detail-oriented, able to multi-task, adapt to shifting priorities, and work both independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated time management, work ethic, and desire to learn and grow professionally
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: USD 60,132.23 — USD 82,681.81 per year
