Role overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their Water team supporting design and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure. This is a hands-on, early-career opportunity to work with experienced engineers on projects that protect public health and the environment while building practical design and field skills.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects that improve community resilience and public health
• Support preparation of technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates under senior engineer guidance
• Apply engineering principles, industry standards, and regulatory requirements to design and analysis tasks for water and wastewater systems
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and field investigations to support project design and construction oversight
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams and support client communications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field required
• No prior experience required; internships or relevant coursework preferred
• Familiarity with engineering design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D (or similar)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Participation in professional engineering societies is a plus
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is desirable but not required

This position is based in Colonie, NY (greater Albany area). Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to commute to project sites and client meetings as required.
