What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Water/Wastewater Engineer to support water, wastewater and stormwater projects in the Boston, MA area. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to assist with site/civil, process mechanical, and hydraulic design tasks while developing practical engineering skills and industry knowledge.

  • Support engineering design for water and wastewater projects, including green infrastructure and stormwater collection/conveyance systems
  • Assist with conceptual and detailed process mechanical and hydraulic design for drinking water and wastewater unit operations
  • Apply critical thinking to solve technical problems and prepare technical documents and calculations
  • Use engineering software and drafting tools (training provided) to develop plans, drawings and technical deliverables
  • Coordinate with senior engineers, project managers, and clients on project requirements and deliverables
  • Participate in field visits, data collection, and project meetings as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (or soon-to-be graduate)
  • Coursework concentrated in civil, environmental, and/or construction engineering
  • Conceptual knowledge of process mechanical designs and drinking & wastewater unit processes and technologies
  • Self-motivated, able to learn proprietary tools, and committed to professional growth in the Northeast
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS
  • Involvement or leadership in professional societies, community groups, or volunteer organizations

Location & Compensation

Confidential Client — Boston, MA (on-site or as required by project). Estimated compensation: $65,840 per year (estimated). Exact pay and final offer will depend on experience and qualifications and will comply with applicable state pay transparency rules.
