What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Water Resources Engineer to join their engineering team. This role supports planning, design, and construction administration for municipal water and wastewater projects and will expose you to a broad range of water utility work.
- Plan and design segments of water and wastewater treatment and collection/distribution projects.
- Prepare plan details and outlines, identify material quantities, and perform calculations.
- Produce cost estimates and assist with technical specifications.
- Evaluate vendor bids and review drawings for compliance with specifications.
- Review and approve design drawings within defined limits.
- Prepare technical reports or portions of larger reports.
- Conduct field tests and measurements and collect field data as needed.
- Assist proposal teams and support proposal preparation activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited program (or equivalent experience or a Master’s degree in Engineering).
- Entry-level (new graduates or up to a few years’ experience) in water resources or civil engineering.
- Familiarity with CADD and common engineering software; willingness to learn project-specific tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers, EITs, technicians, and subconsultants.
- Ability to perform basic calculations and produce accurate estimates and technical documentation.
Preferred / Helpful Qualifications
- EIT certification or working toward EIT is a plus.
- Coursework or internship experience in water/wastewater treatment, distribution systems, or hydraulics.
- Interest in field work (site visits, surveys, testing) and hands-on project support.
Compensation & Employment Type
- Estimated pay: $105,348 per year (estimated).
- Employment type: Full-time.
